It is estimated that by 2050AD, the world will reach maximum capacity (10 billion people). Our population is growing faster than the world can handle. This can be blamed on various things that I’m sure we will explore in the near future – but in this exact instance lets talk about one quick fix.
There are 6+ million Americans in the U.S. prison system at this very second. Prisons are a piece of the human ecosystem that were meant to take the a “corrupt” human being and turn them into a functioning member of society. How realistic is this goal? Well, 40% of first time inmates are back in prison within three years. That’s a pretty steep number considering how much time they’ll spend outside of society.
